Musician-songwriter Jeff Rowe of Howard County has placed two of his most recent compositions on the new CD compilation "Proud To Be an American" from Hilltop Records in California. Rowe's funky rock tune "Havin' a Good Time" and the soulful blues number "I Want Music" are included in a package of songs described as "catchy, melodic and poignant patriotic ballads." Sing with the Pros
Columbia Pro Cantare continues auditioning singers for all parts as its 32nd season gets set to begin. Planned works to be performed with soloists and orchestra include "Carmina Burana," Handel's "Messiah," Brahm's "Requiem" and a tribute to Paul Robeson.
