The following Ellicott City residents were named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute: Corey L. Fukuchi, Samuel D. Punshon-Smith and Ja'mar A. Watson.

Emily Gift, daughter of Laurie and Dana Gift, of Clarksville, was selected to attend Bridgewater College's inaugural Flory Fellows Forum, themed "Service and the Academic Citizen."
