FIRN needs 25 volunteer tutors for the 2008-2009 school year in Howard County, to help ESOL students in all grades. Volunteers will be trained Sept. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at FIRN's office in Columbia. The American Red Cross Holocaust and War Victims Tracing Center needs volunteers to translate documents and letters. Volunteers must be able to read and write in Czech/Slovak languages. This volunteer position can be done at chapter headquarters or remotely.
