Congratulations are the order of the day for the RHHS “It’s Academic Team” of Matthew Beck, Kathryn Powell and Tarub Mabud along with faculty coaches Jaime Munford and Jack Dibler. To advance to the next level of competition, our team defeated Owings Mills and last year’s Baltimore area champions, Mount St. Joseph. The show will air on WJZ-TV, Channel 13 on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m.
It’s Academic is the nation’s foremost high school quiz program and is sponsored locally by Giant Food and Morgan State University. The River Hill team will return later in the season for a playoff with two other first round winners. Go, team!
