Roger Diehl, national committeeman for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Carroll/Howard, and Maryland state president of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-MD; and Steve Aquino, president of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Carroll/Howard represented NAIFA-Carroll/Howard at its annual national convention in San Diego in October.

They participated in discussions on current events in the insurance industry and voted on how agents will be licensed to sell products in the future.

Randall M. Griffin, president and CEO of Corporate Office Properties Trust, will serve as honorary chair of the 12th annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County. The celebration presented by the Arts Council will be held April 25, 2009, from 6-10 p.m. at The Jim Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts in Columbia. Richard W. Story, executive director of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, will emcee the program.

Ann Y.F. Lin, an Ellicott City resident and founding dean of College of Notre Dame of Maryland School of Pharmacy, has been invited to join the Editorial Advisory Board of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists' special publishing division to provide guidance and feedback on a new media service.
