Eight agents and the manager from the Ellicott City Office of Long and Foster recently attended a Long & Foster-sponsored conference with more than 600 Long & Foster sales Silver and Gold Team associates. The day-long conference featured nationally renowned speakers who focused on sales strategies.

The Silver Team are agents who have an annual sales volume of $1 million to $5 million. The Gold Team are agents who have annual sales volumes in excess of $5 million. Agents attending from the Ellicott City Office were: Martin Austin, Ray Hoffmann, Mary Jane Macgill, Chuck Regan, Freda Sames, Perin Tinsley, Linda Willis, Karen Ingalls, who also presented information as a member of the Gold Team Panel, and the manager, Brian Lipsky.

Donnell Spivey Sr., an agent with EXIT Spivey Professional Realty in Ellicott City, was recently awarded the Bronze Award by the company. The award was given in recognition of achieving more than 25 closed transaction sides from July 1, 2007, to June 30, 2008.

Brenda McChriston, CEO and principal of Spectrum HR Solutions, has been appointed by County Executive Kenneth Ulman to serve on the county's personnel board. She is a 17-year resident of Howard County and experienced human resources professional who also received the Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise Award.
