Hebron Marching Unit> Beginning Oct. 18 at noon, the Mt. Hebron Marching Unit, consisting of the Viking Band, Cavaliers and Lancers, will start homecoming festivities off with its annual parade. The parade proceeds from The Church of the Resurrection on North Chatham Road near Paulskirk Drive, down Michaels Way, right onto Greenway Drive, left onto St. John's Lane, finishing at the Mt. Hebron High School at 12:45 p.m. Pre-game activities for the football game will begin at 1:05 p.m. with game kickoff at 1:15. The Marching Unit will be performing the halftime show which will include routines by the Cavaliers and Lancers, as well as two Marching Unit showcase selections, "Sierra Sister" and "New York New York". Post-game activities will include the Marching Unit exiting the stadium to "National Emblem" and the unit's traveling medley.

Special needs movie showing> The Howard County Autism Society and AMC Theatres at Columbia mall will present a showing of "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. for special needs individuals. Tickets are $6 and are available at the door. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. There will be no trailers, the volume will be kept down and the lights will be kept up. Sensory breaks are encouraged. Education program> Parent to Parent: Family Training on AD/HD, a multi-session interactive and educational program for adults and parents of children and adolescents with AD/HD, will take place from 7 to 9 p.m., Oct.15 - Dec. 3 at Faulkner Ridge Center, 10598 Marble Faun Court in Columbia.
