Velma M. Chalk
Velma M. Chalk, of Catonsville, formerly of Ellicott City, died July 4, 2008, of natural causes, at Charlestown Care Center in Catonsville. She was 76.
Born June 7, 1932, in Baltimore, to Louis Anton Mattheiss and Angela Majeczky Mattheiss, she graduated from Southern High School, in Baltimore.
She married Richard M. Chalk in 1954.
Mrs. Chalk worked as an executive assistant for The Rouse Co. and Reliable Stores, both in Columbia.
She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Richard M. Chalk, who died in 1996.
Mrs. Chalk is survived by two daughters, Robin C. Reusing, of Reisterstown, and Debra C. Kramer, of Freeland; two sons, Richard M. Chalk Jr., of Middle River, and Todd A. Chalk, of Brunswick; and nine grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in September at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County.
