The River Hill field hockey will hold a field hockey clinic for elementary and middle school girls Oct. 18 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The clinic will include instruction and drills. The SAC U-15 boys select team is looking for several players born between Aug. 1, 1993 and July 31, 1994. Supplemental tryouts will be held Oct. 16 from 7-8:30 p.m., at Covenant Park, field 8. The county rec department is registering for the Greater Howard County Travel Basketball League. Fee: $550 per team. Leagues are open for boys (10-U to 14-U) and girls (12-U to 14-U).
